The Android game about the cat that talks
Although it isn't exactly a virtual pet, this app is rather similar to that mobile game genre. We're referring to Talking Tom Cat, the talking cat that started off as a character capable of repeating everything the user said. He has gradually evolved to incorporate new functions to interact with him in different games: he reacts to different incitements.
The truth is that it has become so popular with millions and millions of downloads for Android and iPhone, that several spin-offs have also been released, as is the case of Talking Tom and Friends or Gold Run.
Tap the screen to make Tom react
The cat can repeat your words putting on ridiculous voices, purr if you caress him, complain if you annoy him, fart, eat, scratch... he's fully interactive: it will all depend on the area of the screen you tap and how you do so.
- Talk to Tom and make him repeat everything you say with funny voices.
- Record videos and share them with your friends.
- Play with him, smack him, cuddle him, make him fart to create an atmosphere...
- Feed him his favorite food or give him spicy chilis and then ice cream to soothe him.
The talking cat has been downloaded hundreds of millions of times.
The urban legend about Talking Tom
Social networks of the likes of Facebook and chat and messaging apps such as WhatsApp are the perfect breeding ground for crazy urban legends without any kind of solid basis. But that doesn't matter, they soon go viral. One of them affects this game directly, saying that the application can record its users through the cat's huge eyes. It's obviously a lie since the cat's eyes cannot record any video or sound.
If you like the game, you should know that you can also download other games apart from those we mentioned above: Talking Ben, Talking Ginger, Talking Pierre, Talking Angela... dogs, more cats, and even parrots are now also part of Outfit7's catalog.
