An adventure game for visually impaired people
Today's available technology makes it possible for visually impaired people to operate computers and mobile devices, mainly thanks to voice recognition and touch-sensitive mechanisms. However, the world of video games is not exactly the field that has developed most with the blind in mind.
An adventure game for blind people
A Blind Legend is an action-adventure game designed for blind people, although it can actually be played by anyone. Users don't need to see anything on the screen, just follow the game instructions and pay close attention to the situations described in the game. That's why we recommend the use of headphones.
Blind Legend is a medieval epic fantasy game where players handle the sword and shield and move through a world full of dangers. The realistic narrations and sounds will help you become aware, and you can carry out the actions with tactile movements.
There is nothing to say about this game's graphics because, as you can see in the screenshots, it doesn't have any... basically because it doesn't need them. However, we can talk about its binaural sound effects.
For now, the audio is only available in English and French; let's hope that soon it will be translated into more languages and, more importantly, that it sets an example for other development studies.
