Catch the criminals on foot or at the wheel
Until now, open world games have put us into all kinds of situations and roles: a deliverer of justice, criminals who want to take over the mafia, and even cops determined to arrest certain criminals by doing whatever it takes, just to mention a few. In this particular case, Crime City Real Police Driver, you are on the side of the Law.
The premise of this title is very simple: choose a car, customize it, and get out there to patrol the streets. From the first second, you are going to find yourself with a whole bunch of missions to keep you busy. Sometimes you’ll have to carry them out without getting out of your vehicle. Other times, you’ll have no choice but to get out of your car in order to chase your target down and arrest him (or run him over to take him out, which is also an option).
Main features
- An open world to explore.
- Game mechanics similar to those in GTA.
- Car customization.
- New models to unblock.
High-speed pursuits through the streets.
A good idea with room for improvement
As we mentioned above, the GTA-type mechanics are one of its strong points (for example, going to indicated areas in order to accept a mission). Another GTA-inspired aspect of the game is the mini-map of the area, which you can see on the top left of the screen. This map shows you where are you at all times, where you need to get to in order to carry out your missions, where your targets are, etc.
Playability is a bit rough around the edges, and moving around when out of the car is not as smooth as it should be. It takes a while to get used to it, but you do, with time. You can get other models of car by using game money, which you get by completing missions. If you can’t wait that long, you always have the option of using the game’s in-store micropayments.
