Bring your own games to life on your smartphone
To design videogames, you obviously need to know how to program... or perhaps not? This innovative tool lets you create your own levels using the classic pen and paper method.
How to create video games on an Android
Draw Your Game is an excellent app for users to design video games with colored pencils and paper. As easy as that. The process is straightforward; all you need to do is follow these steps:
- Download the APK file and follow the tutorial, which basically involves trying out some of the existing levels to find out what the game is all about.
- Draw your own world on a piece of paper using four colored markers.
- Take a picture of the drawing on the application.
- Wait ten seconds while the system works its magic.
- Play and share with friends and family, and other users.
The color code is also easy. Use black for the ground and static elements; blue for moving targets that can be pushed; green for elements that the character can bounce on; and red for objects that will kill the character and destroy the blue blocks.
Draw Your Game allows you to create an infinite number of worlds on the same sheet of paper or by adding new sheets, one after another, to create an actual plot.
You can create as many worlds as you want, although there are only two game modes: escape (to find the exit) and destruction (to destroy the blue elements with the red ones). You also have a button to choose if you want to view the worlds in 2D or 3D.
And you don't have to limit yourself to your own worlds; you can also try other players' propositions. And all this using an extremely simple, original, and exciting concept that lets you develop your imagination and unleash your creativity, regardless of age.
