The professional social network of Google
Google, has replaced its old business platform Google+ with a new social network called Google Currents. The service aims to facilitate the connection between colleagues and company management from a simple application with a design inspired by Material Design.
The boom in teleworking has led to the improvement of all the software needed for communication between colleagues, companies, or clients, such as professional messaging like Slack or video conferencing apps like Google Meet or Zoom. So the giant already needed to offer its own service for its G Suite clients.
Main features
If you are a G Suite client and enjoy apps such as Teams, Skype, or Outlook for work, you can now add the Currents options to your Google professional tools list:
- Its users can communicate by writing and exchange ideas and documents.
- Google Currents lets you sort the content by relevance or according to the latest news
- The content displays tags so you can follow the topics you are interested in or the information by department.
- It includes an advanced search to find conversations.
- The management team can make key posts to keep their employees up to date.
- Key metrics help managers and users measure engagement and find valuable information.
Requirements and additional information:
- Minimum operating system requirements: Android 5.0.
