A YouTube client that offers more control over its videos
The official YouTube client offers us a user experience that, in general terms, can be considered satisfactory. However, there are more advanced users who miss having greater control over how content is played or how new content is discovered (not to mention the ads, which tend to annoy both advanced and non-advanced users).
More control over YouTube
Although its developers don't explicitly say so, GoTube is actually a YouTube client with a slightly different interface from that of the video portal's official application. It allows us to control some aspects that would otherwise be out of our reach:
- Access to collections of trending videos.
- Ad-free reproduction.
- Create playlists without needing to log in.
- Allows users to change video quality: 240p, 360p, 720p and 1080p.
- Advanced video, channel, and playlist search.
- Play videos in the background or as a popup.
- Advanced functions for discovering new videos.
- More search filters.
- Subscribe to artists and musical genres.
- Store playlists.
- Energy-saving options.
Requirements and additional information:
- Minimum operating system requirements: Android 4.4.
