An alternative to YouTube Vanced
There are many alternatives to the official YouTube app for Android, as many users of this video portal are not very satisfied with features such as ads embedded in the videos and how you can't play videos in the background. One of the most interesting options was YouTube Vanced, but since Google forced its closure, those who used it have turned to other developments.
Play videos in the background without ads
In this vein, you will find LibreTube, an unofficial YouTube client that allows users to browse the portal content with a different interface and functions. In fact, the highlight is that you will be able to play the content without ads and also in the background, even when your screen is off. This means that it can be used to listen to music, as a free alternative to Spotify: simply create or find a song playlist that strikes your fancy.
And it also offers other interesting features that make it one of the best apps to enjoy YouTube with fewer limitations:
- It supports user accounts.
- Subscription management.
- Check trends in the portal.
- Access to channels.
- Playlists.
- Search function.
- Search suggestions.
- Integrated subtitles.
The app is still in beta development phase, so you will have to be attentive to the next new features its developers add, which will surely improve its performance.
Requirements and additional information:
- Minimum operating system requirements: Android 5.0.
- The installation of the app by means of the APK file requires the activation of the "Unknown sources" option within Settings>Applications.
