The game has frustrating bugs. For example, when you are moving, at times it jumps you fairly far distances with one step. Also, for some reason, the developers decided to have you place your furniture with having your character walk across the screen with the joystick, and the furniture winds up jumping around and being almost impossible to place accurately. One of the quest actions that must be taken for the tutorial is to pick up palm planks from the ground, but there aren't enough on the ground to satisfy the requirement and no instructions to also look in chests and hope that maybe planks will also show up there. The child you are stuck working with is massively annoying and unnecessary - it would be far better to have an adult instead of a child because of the way the NPC acts and talks. Also, even though the dialog is in English, the translation was obviously done with Google Translate - meaning that most of what any character says makes native English speaker cringe.
