Browser with editable maps
Did you know that there are navigation alternatives to Google Maps for Android devices? MapFactor is one of those options. It is a free app that uses data from the OpenStreetMap project. This App also includes another Browser that works through TomTom technology.
This app is based on data coming from the OpenStreetMap project.
Navigation without an Internet connection
This GPS navigation tool is characterized by downloading maps to the device. For this purpose, we choose and download to our device the maps we are going to use, installing them in our memory card. This is especially useful if we are going to places without internet access or if we want to save navigation data since the app does not require an Internet connection to work. In this way, we only need to download the maps by zones or countries and use the maps and GPS of our device. With this app we can:
- Search for places.
- Navigate with a voice-assisted system in the language, tone, and genre of your choice.
- Obtain information about routes and places.
- Save your favorite places.
- Display the map with points of interest, roads, and more.
Since the maps are installed directly on our memory card, you do not need an internet connection to use its navigation tools.
On the other hand, this tool also offers other utilities, such as the possibility to choose between 2D and 3D visualization, block streets that we want to avoid, establish specific data of our vehicle, or download extra data with information of interest. If you are traveling and you are not going to have access to your mobile connection, plan your routes with this app.
