A few years ago, pocket-monster fever swept the world. Pokémon and Digimon landed around the same time in the mid-90s. They represented an unprecedented revolution in all senses of the word. Even the wonderful video game from the Ghibli Studio, Ni No Kuni, was influenced by these creatures. Monster Super League is another of those titles that drinks directly from the source. And it does so with a colorful, funny game and some really nice monsters called astromons (something like ‘space monsters’, I would imagine), who you will have to capture and train.

This is frantic, frenetic and very entertaining stuff. The story-line is riveting and the way it plays will get you hooked in just a few minutes. The first thing you have to do is decide whether your character is male or female. Once you have done that, you better get ready, because things will get crazy. The game presents you with the classic system of catching monsters in order to add them to your team and to overcome challenges along the way. There are more than 550 astromons with unique powers and special abilities. You will, of course, be able to evolve and upgrade them so that both their game and physical features improve.

Different game modes in a very big game

If you get tired of having to give your astromons orders all the time, you can use automatic battle game mode, so that they can get stuck into battle all on their own. Put a team together that suits your preferences and playing style, and progress through this story so replete with cool creatures. There is also has a multi-player mode and a recent collaboration with the Sonic the Hedgehog brand. So, what’s not to like? It takes an age to install and takes up a lot of memory space on your Android device.
