An old-school roguelike RPG
In the race to become the ultimate streaming platform, Netflix decided to go for Android video games against Amazon Prime Video, Disney+, HBO, and all the rest. It did so by providing its users with the possibility of downloading complete games for free and to access them, you only need the platform's user data (well, it is not exactly free, of course). And among the increasingly interesting catalog that the company can offer, we find Moonlighter, a game that will delight fans of retro RPG dungeon crawlers.
Shopkeeper by day, monster hunter by night
The game lets you control a character who runs a store during the day but at night goes into dangerous and gloomy dungeons where he kills monsters and unravels all sorts of mysteries. In other words, the game has two facets, one where we will control the supply of the store and where we can even hire assistants at a relaxed pace, and another where the action reigns and we go through mysterious tunnels full of traps and monsters.
The format is 2D, pixelated, and horizontally oriented, like the great classics in the 8-bit era, and offers the following features:
- Go through dangerous dungeons and kill your enemies.
- Manage your store by hiring staff and managing finances.
- Two control modes: joystick and point and click.
- Meet your neighbors and interact with them to create armor and weaponry.
- Find unique treasures for your store.
- Improve your combat skills.
Requirements and additional information:
- Netflix subscription required.
- Minimum operating system requirements: Android 8.0.
