Play basketball in augmented reality
The Niantic studio, the creator of social phenomena such as Pokémon Go and Pikmin Bloom, has entered the sports arena with this new mobile adventure that combines the digital and real world. This time, you will use the geolocation function of your smartphone to become a basketball player and walk through the streets of your city in search of NBA stars to challenge.
Highly competitive sports and social experience
NBA All-World is a 3D augmented reality game for mobile devices inspired by basketball. It features the official NBA license and ambassadors such as Jordan Poole and Andrew Wiggins.
The mechanics are similar to Pokémon Go, but instead of pokéstops and gyms, we have Drop Zones and training areas. At these meeting points, you can get accessories, sneakers, and clothing from real-world brands.
Put on the shoes of today's NBA stars and go head-to-head against the best players in the world.
In addition, we will also find two mini-games (triples contest and 1v1) and basketball players that we can challenge to add to our team. And, of course, by downloading the APK file, we will also be able to compete against other players on over 100,000 courts around the world.
In short, the concept is very similar to that of Pokémon Go and just as promising. Moreover, new augmented reality features are expected to be included in future updates. The only drawback is that some devices with limited performance may experience lag issues. The good news is that the game is completely free (with in-app purchases, of course).
