One of the best custom Android ROMs
The use of custom Android ROMs is becoming less and less common. This is because the official operating system includes more and more customization and configuration options that are usually enough for most users, and also because the use of custom ROMs may not suit everyone due to their greater complexity or even generate a feeling of less security.
However, there are still very interesting custom ROMs such as Paranoid Android which currently offers its Sapphire version for Android 12, compatible with more and more devices. It is an aesthetically interesting and different operating system, but most importantly, it includes additional features and options not available in the stock Android version.
Main features
- Navigation bar customization.
- Built-in screen recorder.
- Extended reboot.
- Extended screenshot support.
- Quick charge indicator.
- Data, VPN, and WiFi usage restriction settings for each app.
- Possibility to configure gestures.
- Support for the pop-up camera.
- Among others.
Of course, it should not be forgotten that this type of ROM requires certain knowledge from the user to successfully install them, and even then, it is not risk-free. To install it on a device, the user must place the compressed file in the root folder of the smartphone, reboot to bootloader, and flash the fastboot ZIP using the command "fastboot update aospa-*-image.zip". Once this is done, reboot via recovery and delete the user data. If you do not understand any of these guidelines, we recommend that you do not attempt to install this Custom ROM.
Requirements and additional information:
- Compatible at the moment with different models of OnePlus, Poco, Redmi, and Xiaomi.
- Minimum operating system requirements: Android 12.
