Augmented reality comes to the classroom

Plickers is an educational tool for teachers that uses augmented reality to create an innovative teaching system. The idea is that the teacher can pose questions to the students, and they respond via a card with a code on it.

The questions that the teacher can ask are multiple-choice questions. Students answer A, B, C or D by placing their card in one of the four positions. Each student has a unique card with a special code.

Formative assessment has never been so fast.

The teacher simply uses the camera on his smartphone to collect the students' answers, which are immediately recorded in the database. The augmented reality system automatically recognises each student's response and transfers the information in real time to a graph showing the progress of each student and the class as a whole.

And the best thing is that, in principle, students cannot copy their answers, as the answer is not visible to the naked eye on the card. And that's not all: the APK file is free to download and the application is fully customisable.
