Samsung's App to support NFC-based services
Many devices use NFC technology as a short-range connectivity system. Above all, it is used by secure mobile payment systems such as Samsung Pay.
NFC connectivity management on Android
The Korean mobile phone manufacturer uses the Samsung KMS Agent service application, which lets the devices manage their connections via this protocol. It uses this protocol to establish secure connections, which in payment systems, for example, means that no customer card data, personal financial information, or physical location information is ever exchanged.
It is a service application that comes pre-installed on many Korean manufacturer's devices. However, you can also download it in APK format in case you need to reinstall it.
Keep in mind that the development of this technology is driven by a need for security. However, copying data from the transmission for fraudulent use cannot be ruled out. These are some of the functions in which NFC is used:
- Identification of individuals.
- Data collection and exchange.
- Instantaneous synchronization of devices.
- Automation of actions.
- Payment.
Requirements and additional information:
- Minimum operating system requirements: Android 10.0.
With a degree in History, and later, in Documentation, I have over a decade of experience testing and writing about apps: reviews, guides, articles, news, tricks, and more. They have been countless, especially on Android, an operating system...
