Messaging without internet connection
In recent years we have become very dependent on instant messaging apps to communicate. However, most of them work with an internet connection. But what if we don't have internet? Well, that's okay, because we can still communicate with this simple app.
Offline P2P communication
Serval Mesh is a free P2P communication app that allows us to communicate through our cell phones when we do not have internet connection. In this way, we can send messages and make calls using the wifi network.
That is, no internet is needed to make phone calls or send messages, but the devices will have to be connected to the same wifi. In other words, in order for it to work both devices have to be within range of the same wifi network.
The phones communicate with each other via wifi.
One of the main advantages of this app is that it does not require root. In addition, downloading the APK file is completely free. Of course, this is experimental software, so users may experience some bugs.
Requirements and additional information:
- Minimum operating system requirements: Android 2.2.
- The installation of the app by means of the APK file requires the activation of the "Unknown sources" option within Settings>Applications.
