Throughout the game the player will move around 3D settings, although his character can only move in 2 (that's where the concept of 2.5 dimensions comes from), using all sorts of futuristic weapons to face up against enemies while he acquires experience points to purchase weapons and exoskeletons, as he completes missions and kills bad guys.
