Find cheap flights thanks to skiplagging
Amongst the many different tricks available to find cheap flights, we have to talk about skiplagging which basically involves missing flights on purpose. It's all about buying a ticket from point A to point C, laying over at B. But you're obviously only interested in going from A to B, so you simply skip B to C.
Find cheap flights using layovers
The Skiplagged search engine takes advantage of this airline weakness and allows us to find cheap flights and hotels saving hundreds of dollars compared to other search tools such as Skyscanner, Kayak or Expedia, for instance. Always based on this flight-skipping feature, the app offers us the following functions:
- Find flights that other search engines don't offer at those prices.
- Use different criteria to filter the search results: length, stopovers, departure and arrival times...
- View the lowest fares every day.
- Receive notifications when fares go down.
- Book accommodation and filter your searches for hotels reading other travelers' reviews and ratings.
The app's developers have been sued by companies of the likes of United Airlines or Lufthansa but they have defended the legal nature of this method. However, it also involves certain drawbacks such as not being able to check in your luggage to your final destination and that some airlines may refuse to sell you tickets in the future.

With a degree in History, and later, in Documentation, I have over a decade of experience testing and writing about apps: reviews, guides, articles, news, tricks, and more. They have been countless, especially on Android, an operating system...
