Measure ambient noise levels with your mobile phone
Are your neighbours partying and not letting you sleep? Are they making a terrible racket in the bar downstairs? By downloading the APK file of this app you can turn your phone into a sound level meter to measure the noise level of any environment at any time and find out if you are exceeding the maximum decibel level allowed.
How to turn an Android into a sound level meter
Sound Analyzer is a simple noise measurement tool that allows us to use a mobile phone or tablet as a digital sound level meter. All we have to do is open the app and grant the necessary permissions for the device's microphone to start recording ambient sounds and noises.
It allows you to use your smartphone as a sound level meter (SLM) and a real-time audio analyser (RTA).
The interface is mainly characterised by its graph, which shows the real-time noise measurement in decibels, as well as the highest and lowest level. On the other hand, it also has a spectrum analyser and a calibration function, apart from other more technical details.
The best thing about this app is that it can be used for purely informational purposes or for more professional uses, as it offers several technical evaluation parameters. On top of that, it is very intuitive and easy to use.
