Disney's streaming service aimed at an adult audience
Disney was not going to lag behind so, following in the footsteps of platforms such as Netflix, HBO, Amazon or Apple, it entered the online streaming and on-demand content business, becoming one of the main platforms thanks to its catalog. It did so through Disney+ and now incorporates a new service available in some countries: Disney Star+.
Live sports and adult oriented content
You must contract this service from Disney+, i.e., users must previously be a paying account of the streaming platform. Logging in, you will have access to an exclusive catalog of series and movies, including cartoons, with a target audience of older people than Disney+ (which is sold as family-oriented). In addition to this new content, Star+ also offers the possibility of watching live sports, including American basketball, thanks to its connection with television channels such as ESPN.
The service is offered in different European and Latin American countries, and the offer varies based on location, with the following functions and features:
- Wide variety of titles in 4K image quality
- Downloads on up to 10 different devices.
- Simultaneous viewing on up to 4 screens.
- Parental control to limit access.
- Live sporting events.
Requirements and additional information:
- Minimum operating system requirements: Android 5.0.
- Offers in-app purchases.
