Recover files deleted from your smartphone
Recovering files deleted from an Android phone is now possible thanks to an app of the likes of Undeleter. It's capable of exploring both the internal storage of our device and our memory cards, being compatible with loads of different formats.
Requires a rooted device
That's the only drawback of this application: we require superuser permissions to get it working. If we don't have them, we'll only be able to explore the images found. With a rooted Android, we can scan the different storage units on our smartphone or tablet and recover the following types of files:
- Images in the following formats: JPG, PNG, BMP, GIF...
- Call logs.
- Conversation on instant messaging and chat apps such as WhatsApp or Viber.
- SMS messages.
- Zipped files.
- Videos.
- PDF documents.
- Audio files.
Furthermore, it also acomes along with a safe deletion tool to remove files for good from any kind of unit.
Requirements and additional information:
- Requires a rooted device to be able to make use of all its functions.
- Minimum operating system requirements: Android 6.0.
- Offers in-app purchases.
With a degree in History, and later, in Documentation, I have over a decade of experience testing and writing about apps: reviews, guides, articles, news, tricks, and more. They have been countless, especially on Android, an operating system...
