Protect your online activity with an extra authentication process
One of the biggest problems any user faces today when using different online services is security. Our credentials are never safe enough and losing them or having them stolen can be a major financial problem.
Symantec's Dual Authentication Service
The computer security company has developed VIP Access, a system that adds an extra layer of security every time we access different online services. For those that are compatible, we will be able to protect our accounts and transactions through a two-factor identification process at login.
This app allows us to add a double authentication, in addition to the use of our credentials, which can be chosen from the following:
- Generate a one-time security code on the mobile device. It's used next to the username and password.
- Receive a verification code for any online operation that has to be approved as an authorization. This can be a PIN, a pattern, a password or a fingerprint.
- Use of fingerprint or security code in a notification to be able to authenticate on the mobile phone.
The app offers the possibility of scanning a QR code created to generate specific security codes and is compatible with entities such as eBay, PayPal, Google, Facebook... any of those included in VIP Network.
Requirements and additional information:
- Minimum operating system requirements: Android 6.0.
With a degree in History, and later, in Documentation, I have over a decade of experience testing and writing about apps: reviews, guides, articles, news, tricks, and more. They have been countless, especially on Android, an operating system...
