WhatsApp automatically compresses the images and videos you send to your contacts. So, the file they receive is of lower quality than the original file. You may wonder if there is a way to avoid this inconvenience? The short and quick answer is Yes.
How to send photos and videos without compression to not lose any quality
The simplest way to send multimedia content without compression in WhatsApp is to send it as if it were a document. It is as easy as tapping on the paperclip icon.
Open the options to send attachments
Then, tap on the document button to send the video or photo without compression.
Send a document via WhatsApp
Then, click on the top button for WhatsApp to open the file explorer. This way, you will be able to see all the documents in the device's internal memory.
Search for other documents on your internal memory
If you want to send a photo or video that is in the cloud, you should first download it to your phone. This is the only way it will appear in the Android file explorer. Once the file is located, tap on it.
Select an image from the memory
To send the file, tap Send in the pop-up message.

- Status. Videos up to 30 seconds long.
- Documents. Maximum size of 100 MB. Therefore, you will not be able to send files, including videos or photos, that are larger by following the steps mentioned here.
