The Netflix for video games
Mid 2017, Microsoft launched Xbox Game Pass, a subscription service that provides its users with unlimited access to a catalog of games for the Xbox video console by paying a monthly flat rate. And now in 2018, it's time for the Android app of this service with which we can manage the download of the games to our console straight from our smartphone or tablet.
Download games for Xbox straight from Android
With the APK installed on our phone and logged in with our Microsoft user account, we can browse through a long list of video games picked by the editors, the most popular ones at present, the most downloaded titles, and those that will soon be removed. We can also carry out manual searches and visit our library to be able to check all the games that we've already downloaded.
Just like in the PC version, each video game comes along with a technical data sheet with plenty of information, such as a description, screenshots, info about the developer, the space required, comments from other users that have already played, and whether it's compatible with Xbox One or Xbox 360.
Unlimited access to over 100 games by means of a single monthly payment.
Thus, we'll no longer need to be physically in front of our Xbox to check and download games. We can start the process on our way home and have everything ready for when we get there. Furthermore, the app offers us notifications about new and future games so that we don't miss out on anything.
Requirements and additional information:
- Minimum operating system requirements: Android 6.0.
- Offers in-app purchases.
